MANILA, Philippines — Jonna Perdido will miss the University of Santo Tomas’ UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball campaign due to an ACL tear on her left knee.

The Varsitarian — the school’s official publication — on Tuesday reported that Perdido underwent a successful surgery Monday last week and it will take six to nine months to recover.

It will be a big blow to the Tigresses’ campaign this season with Perdido coming off a breakout year  where she led the team to a Season 86 Finals trip before they got swept by National University.

Petro Gazz, Pilipinas Shell, and Seaoil also said kerosene prices would increase, too, by 70 centavos per liter while gasoline costs would remain unchanged in the latest round of adjustments.

The Boracay Tourist Pass is seen to pave the way for both local and foreign visitors to have an easier time in securing requirements for their stay at the country’s iconic tourist spot.
