gppbet ACEN bags Cebu Pacific clean energy deal
ACEN Corp., the Ayala Group’s listed energy platform, secured a contract to supply clean energy to two of Cebu Pacific’s facilities.
In a disclosure Friday, ACEN said its deal with the low-cost carrier through its retail electricity supply arm ACEN Renewable Energy would help the latter shift to clean power.

According to ACEN, the facilities are crucial to the airline’s operations as they house its maintenance and catering operations.
Article continues after this advertisementCebu Pacific’s move also complements its current efforts to invest in a modern and fuel-efficient all-NEO fleet, implement fuel-efficient practices, optimize flight routes, and electrify its ground support equipment.

ACEN said the deal was made possible through the government’s Green Energy Option Program, which allows customers or businesses consuming at least 100 kilowatts to choose renewable energy.
